Stuck

An alarm clock goes off at 3 in the morning. No one wakes up.

It is now 4:21 in the morning and a young lady wakes up.

“Oh my god. I’m late. Oh my god. Why the…”

In great haste, she starts getting ready for work.

“Wait. I need to go to airport. Oh my…”

She grabs her suitcase, says bye to her hamster and sprints to her car. She sees that the front door didn’t close all the way avargated she unbuckles her seatbelt and goes to slam the door shut. Running back to her car, she hits the side of the door with her head.

“Owwwwww. Fuck”

She turns on the car and sees the time 4:35 on the radio display.

“I’ll never make it in time.”

She zooms away; passing cars, breaking traffic laws and actually makes it to the airport.

“4:50. I can’t believe it. I actually made it on time.”

The lady goes to the check-in counter and encounters a dreaded situation. She was too late. The flight has already left. The time on her car was 10 minutes behind. She is now stuck here for at least one more day. Her trip to the galapagos will have to go on without her. Now, depressed and disappointed from the ordeal; her stomach starts to growl.

She decides to buy a coffee and starts her walk of shame back to the car. Dejected; she stares at the ground, not watching where she’s going. A young man in a rush ends up bumping into her. Coffee spills all over the young man’s shirt. His suitcase pops open and his phone drops to the floor cracking the screen.

The lady in shock over the entire series of randomness, starts to profusely apologize.

“Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I can’t believe that just happened.”

The man is defeated. He picks up his cracked phone and checks the time.

“Ah. Don’t worry about it. I’m not going to make it now.”

“No, I’m so sorry. Please. let me make it up to you. I just missed my flight too so I know how you feel right now and I just spilt coffee on you. No, I have to make it up to you.”

“Where were you going?”, the man inquired.

“The galapagos”.

“No way. That’s where I was going.”

The lady and the man heading toward their cars and made the walk of shame together.
