Blame Mendacity

Another lie told
another fact hidden
another love crushed
another person fooled

you're lying to everyone 
let's tell them the truth
we have to run through the script
they need to be convinced that this story is true

No one will ever catch our lie in time
Hide as long as you can
The consequences are endless
but only if they catch you

Would it be better if I didn't 
no
a problem would arise
I much prefer to
prolong the inevitable 

why did you ask me
to lie for you
why did you actually go through it
I did it for you

Now I can never trust you
whether you like or not 
you can never convince me of the truth when
Mendacity is all around you
